Developed during a residency at the Chinati Foundation, this synchronized two-channel projection frames the large door and adjacent windows of the “Ice House” studio space in Marfa, Texas, with a thin trace of light on either side of the exterior wall. Between wall and the projector, snow falls on the interior of the space and water sprinkles upward on the outside allowing the light to become visible and gain depth. Visitors could walk through the spaces in these areas as they slowly shifted, rotated, appeared, and disappeared. This work was derived from the 2001 X-Ray photos from Carwash (2001).
